Vitamin Pill

Would it be ok for me to take a 500 mg (833% of Daily Value) Vitamin C pill, and then take a multivitamin with another 100% Vitamin C? I ask because I don't want to neglect my other nutrients, I want to make sure I get what I need every day.
Yes, vitamin C is water soluble which means that you will simply urinate away the excess.
