Is an Ivy League school attendance really worth it? Or would it be more beneficial to attend a smaller scale university/college?
It really does depend on what you'd like to take away from the college experience. Of course the Ivy league does afford one the ability to make strong ties and good contacts for later life but I'm still not sure wether the quality of education is that much better than a respected public school such as UC Berkely or smaller liberal arts colleges. There are a new type of universities in America which newsweek describes as the new Ivies; depending what you want to do you may want to check them out.

Sure the Ivies are great schools but alot of cutting edge stuff is coming out of the UC''s and universities like UNC -Chapel Hill, Carnegie Mellon, UV, NYU, UW-Madison....the list goes on! I suppose it comes down to this country having many great colleges and they are most certainly not limited to the Ivies.
