Wats inside their minds thru which they compose the tune??Should they learn traditional classical music or wat...for eg in pottery u can make a pot by learning a set of procedures...can we learn to compose tune that way...Wat extra dimention should the mind have to compose tune??I know its an art..but arts like painting ,drawing and other fine arts can be learnt by anyone..but
how to compose a tune??
The basics of composition can be gone about in two ways:
1) Write lyrics
2) Write chords
3) Add countermelody and/or background tracks
-OR-
1)Write chords
2)Add lyrics/melody
3)Add extra tracks
What order you choose depends on what works best for you. However, what you'd need to learn are chords and good chord progressions. The best thing to learn is major chords, minor chords, and the 1st (root), 4th, and 5th, chords in any given key. You can self teach a bit from there.
Psychologically, you have to understand what lyrics and what chords will sound best together (you want to be original, but not so neo-whatever that you lose your audience with baffling noise). That's the best answer I can give. Sit down with a guitar or piano (or sax, strings, or whatever) and play until you like what you hear, then start asking other friends and family if they think the things you've written sound good.
