Piece Canister

I am gonna put new carbon in my canister and my carbon in it right now is big and I can only find carbon that are in pieces. It is 900 mL. Will it work for a magnum 350?
It doesnt matter, Brands are brands.
chem pure, hagen, marine land etc... all good carbons to use. MAke sure you rince it before adding to the filter.
