Hostess Appreciation

This has been driving me crazy for a while...I can't seem to pull enough of the details from my memory to do a proper Google search, and my friends now think I'm making this up, so I thought I'd ask here. There is a movie from the late 80's or early 90's, and all I remember is:
1) a young girl who went missing years ago
2) some kind of ritual involving mirrors that brings her back in the end...
3) a reflection of the moon, or something moon-shaped (or a triangle? I just remember two pieces of glass coming together to reflect something)
I remember it being one of the first movies that freaked me out enough to sleep with the lights on for a few days, and am feeling nostalgic. First person to answer gets a virtual orange Hostess cupcake and my utmost appreciation!
