Bag Lead
Posted on Wednesday, September 15th, 2010 at 8:38 amHow to get Pencil lead out of fabric?
ok you know that 0.7 or 0.5 lead you buy to refill mechanical pencils I bought one and it spilled all over the bottom of my bag. Now i have grayish stains all over the bottom. Is there anything that will remove it? I can't put it in the washing machine because it has leather on it and if the leather gets wet it will bleed. PLEASE HELP!!! THANX
Kneaded eraser is your best bet... but pencil, like india ink, is considered "archivally permanent", meaning it's expected to be legible for centuries...
Use a kneaded eraser in a press/pull method... pull it till it gets sticky, then press it on to the marks, and lift straight up. Repeat till you're out of clean surfaces on the eraser. Knead the eraser again and keep going.
